Danish Taiwan Cluster extends local presence in Taiwan
As announced in October last year, A-LEAf has joined a cluster of Danish offshore wind experts to explore the possibilities in Taiwan closer. Now the Danish Wind Cluster has taken a further step, by establishing a joint office location in Taipei. The six companies forming the cluster besides A-LEAF are: ALL NRG, Comtech Int., HYTOR, ProCon and Site Solution Partners. However, important to mention is that each company still operates individually although sharing an address in the capital of Taiwan.
“In order to provide our optimal support towards current and future customers in the region, we found it necesarry to be present locally”, says Anders Grimstrup-Larsen, CEO at A-LEAF. “Most of the companies in the cluster have been active in Taiwan during 2019, and as we see the Taiwanese pipeline really taking off in the next couple of years, we see an increased request from our customers”.
Anders Grimstrup-Larsen continues: “It is very important for us to provide our customers in the region the same flexibility, that we provide our customers in Europe. That is why it makes sense for us to set up an office together with our cluster partners. Furthermore, to be able to provide local content for the next round of projects in Taiwan. The combination of local content and experienced offshore wind experts from Europe, is the key to succesful projects in the region”.
At the upcoming Wind Energy Asia conference in Kaohsiung, starting March 3, the Danish wind cluster will showcase their integrated services and competences at a joint booth in Pavilion of Denmark. Here the new office location will also be introduced to the local supply chain and the international offshore wind professionals attending the event.
